Shepherd of spirits
Shepherd of spirits
A Shepherd of spirits is an ordinary pastoral vocation within the Christ Sacred Order for Shepherding spirits. Shepherds supervise, accompany, and coordinate information in the regular work of pastoral formation concerning possessing unclean spirits.
Meaning and honor of the vocation
Service to Christ is not confined to a sanctuary, a platform, or a visible congregation. When God appoints a person as a Shepherd of spirits, that person enters a deeper field of care: people in distress, possessing unclean spirits in need of pastoral formation, and witness material that must be preserved faithfully.
Christ’s shepherding does not stop at a threshold. He seeks those who are lost, accompanies those in difficulty, and leaves a path for those willing to turn. This vocation carries that permission. A Shepherd may accompany a long process of formation, preserve a fragile witness account, and help others face questions of a purgatory-like state, a near-heavenly state, judgment, and consequence through first-hand material.
This vocation calls for faithfulness and carries honor. Shepherds of spirits do not merely observe from a distance. They watch, preserve material, and support a continuing path of pastoral formation. Their work can also provide an initial record foundation for the Spirit Medicine evidence chain.
Responsibilities of a Shepherd of spirits
- Pastoral formation concerning possessing unclean spirits: coordinate mutual shepherding between host and possessing unclean spirits, and advance ordinary formation and restoration.
- Accompaniment: accompany the patient over the long course of deliverance and record experience and progress.
- Technical methods: collect, organize, and teach technical methods by which possessing unclean spirits can avoid harming the patient.
- Welcome First-Hand Evidence Witnesses: receive third-party individuals who wish to submit, preserve, or share primary witness material.
- Coordinate with the central team: submit discernible witness material, records, and documentation for later coordination and preservation.
