Spirit Medicine Research Association
Spirit Medicine Research Association · SMRA
The professional research collaboration of the Scientific Threefold Deliverance Movement of Christ. It is for medical, psychological, and related researchers willing to take questions of consciousness, spirit bodies, EEG, and religious experience seriously.
What SMRA is
The Spirit Medicine Research Association (SMRA) is the movement’s professional research organization. It develops research agendas, brings together interdisciplinary Research Members, organizes material interfaces, and helps move research into hospitals, universities, research institutions, and public academic discussion.
SMRA does not replace the pastoral work of the Christ Sacred Order for Shepherding spirits, nor does it organize Witnesses. It organizes material from Spirit Medicine, the work of Shepherds of spirits, and Third Deliverance into questions that can be researched, compared, and discussed.
Through research standards, record standards, and interdisciplinary collaboration, SMRA works to establish a scientific evidence chain for Spirit Medicine. Its purpose is to bring claims concerning spirit bodies, possession, religious experience, mental symptoms, and hospital settings into public literature, internal research, and later review.
Who can join
SMRA is primarily for:
- physicians and professionals in psychiatry or neurology;
- psychologists, psychotherapists, and counseling professionals;
- researchers in neuroscience, consciousness studies, biomedicine, and data science;
- professionals who wish to contribute to research design, literature work, material analysis, or academic communication.

Three research lines
| Research line | Focus | Page |
|---|---|---|
| Publishable literature research | Literature reviews, theoretical articles, study protocols, and formal experiment reports suitable for publication | Open research line |
| Unpublished research on the work of Shepherds of spirits | Longitudinal first-hand material concerning possession, psychological phenomena, and pastoral formation | Open research line |
| Third Deliverance: hospital consciousness-field and RPO research | Hospital consciousness-field boundaries, spirit activity, and records concerning clinician–patient RPO exchange | Open research line |
The three lines connect with one another. Publishable research develops public arguments; unpublished research preserves longitudinal first-hand material; and Third Deliverance research brings hospital consciousness-field and RPO material into the Spirit Medicine agenda.
What Research Members can do
Research Members may select one or more lines and contribute to literature reading, study design, material organization, data analysis, record standards, academic writing, and interdisciplinary dialogue.
Hospitals, universities, and research institutions are responsible for formal study approval, measurement, data stewardship, and publication. SMRA convenes questions, material interfaces, and research collaborators so that Spirit Medicine can enter research settings where it may be questioned and examined.
