IV. Future record standard
- Consent: a separate, specific permission for the intended use and release level.
- De-identification: removal or alteration of identifying details where public release is approved.
- Timeline: a dated account of what was observed, recorded, and reviewed.
- Evidence status: a clear distinction between personal testimony and instrument records.
- Review status: a visible indication of whether the record is pending, internally reviewed, or approved for publication.
Testimony and instrument records have different evidentiary roles. A personal account is not automatically a scientific conclusion, and an instrument record requires its own documented method and review.
